After many years in college, I know textbooks are not cheap. In fact, they can be downright expensive. So when I saw the book list for my first year in law school, I really was not shocked at the $749 total from the school. School bookstores usually are one of the more expensive after all. Okay, so maybe I had a panic attack; but after five minutes, I calmed myself down and set about searching numerous websites to try and find the cheapest. So far, I’ve only gotten four of the eleven books that I need; two new from Barnes and Nobles since they were the pre-term books I need to read and two that I’ve found significantly less on half.com and AbeBooks.com. And since I’ve found them cheap, I did not want to take a chance that the books would not be available at a later date at the prices that I found them for. Of course, I may find them cheaper; in which case depending on the demand, I may buy and resell the ones that I have. But we’ll see what happens when it gets to that point.
I have given myself a deadline of August first as the last day I can purchase the books. This is because my classes start on September first and I want to make sure I have them all here and have had a chance to look through them before the classes actually begin. So between now and August first I will be scouring the web trying to find the best deals on the books. It’s not like I have an extra $749 lying around to spend on books.

Well, after a lot of hard work and time spent getting things together, I can finally say that I’ve been accepted to Concord Law School! For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to go to law school. But after I finished my bachelor’s degree in February of 2008, I thought those plans were on hold; possibly forever. But that changed and now, come September first, I will begin the next four years of Law School.

I’ve been part of online communities for years. At times, I’ve felt like I belong but more times then not, I feel like I’m just kind of floating there. The same could be said for my real life. But recently, I’ve spent more time on the Ravelry website and in some of the communities and I feel like I’ve finally found somewhere I belong. It’s weird but then, it’s not so weird. I’ve always connected better with like minded people then with those I’m sort of forced into contact with. I am glad though that I’ve found this community and the kind people there. Since I started knitting, I wanted to join a knitting group but there aren’t any right in my area. Now I’ve found a really cool one. So what if it’s online – I’m still communicating with people.
In one of the communities I’ve found, they do Random Acts of Kindness or RAKs. It’s a really good idea; something that should be the norm but isn’t necessarily normal. I know, it’s sad. But it’s true. People just aren’t that kind to other people anymore. At least in my experience. This community takes the idea and runs with it. And I love it! There are a few that I am going to do for people and an amazing bunch of people have done some of mine. I also love the discussions going on in the yarn groups. I will admit; I have only bought yarn from Michaels and A.C. Moore – but I’m not the best knitter yet and so I don’t see the point in buying anything more expensive then that. Actually, that’s not true. I just ordered some closeout yarn from Webs to make Gretchen an afghan if it’s a boy. If not, then I’ll have some pretty yarn to use later and will have to find something for a girl.
Oh, and just because I so need to share – I found this on a Richard Armitage Community on facebook…yummy.

Well, I was thinking of working on pen pal letters tonight seeing as I am behind on responding back and getting even futher back. But seeing as it’s after 7 now, I really don’t think I’m going to get that much. S needs me to proof read his paper for school and I think we’re going to watch The Apprentice UK on demand tonight so working on letters is going to be a bit hard. Maybe tomorrow night I’ll sit down and work on one or two.
I am a bit angry though with pen pals. Someone has given out my address; well my PO Box; but I don’t know who. It has to be someone who signed up with the one company that I joined because my address isn’t anywhere else. Plus they keep writing they got it from friend who got it from a company. Blah.

…and yet I never do.
I have a livejournal; actually, I believe I have two; an insane journal and I’m sure I still have a journal or three over a greatjournal and yet here I go again, attempting to keep up a blog here on my own domain. I enjoy a challenge though and so I will attempt this again. Hehe.
Anyways, welcome to my personal little home here on the net. I guess I should really say welcome to another attempt at a little home here on the net.
